It’s strange for me too writing on topic on
which I already wrote before, but I had to because last time when I wrote about
leap of faith I was not clear about that idea myself, and I was unable to
express what it truly represent, and today it hit me what example I should use
while expressing what leap of faith means, and how that article should have
gone so, I took decision to write about this topic again. Let me tell you in
detail why I came to this decision of writing on same topic twice. Recently, I watched
Academy Awards function, and like many I watched it only to know who is getting
Oscar for best actor, but not like you, because many of you watched this
function in hope of seeing Leonardo Dicaprio get award of best actor, but I watched
it to see my favorite actor Mathew McConaughey
win the Oscar for best actor and finally he won. Now like you I also think Leonardo
deserve an Oscar for best actor, but when it’s compared to acting of Mathew McConaughey’s acting in Dallas buyers’
club. I personally think I don’t need to convince you for this if you have
watched Dallas buyers’ club. And that movie is the only reason am writing about
leap of faith. Now who ever seen that movie must knew it’s an epic and so heart
touching, and Mathew’s acting is impeccable in it his portrayal of electrician and hustler Ron Woodroof is heart touching. But am not here to
write about his acting and movie I am here to talk about ‘Leap of faith’ and how
this is connected to movie so for that you need to understand bit of that
movies history. That movie is based on Ron Woodroof who was the subject
of a lengthy 1992 article in The Dallas Morning News written
by journalist and author Bill Minutaglio. A month before Woodroof died in
September 1992, screenwriter Craig Borten interviewed him to create the
screenplay; Borten recorded many hours of interviews with Woodroof and had
access to his personal journals. Borten
drafted 10 different scripts for what he believed would make a great movie, and
attempted to attract interest in making the film in the mid 1990. And that
script was around for 20 years no one wanted to make that movie, and it was
rejected 137 times. No one was ready to make that movie and invest in it.
Finance was taken off from that movie just week before it was about to start
shooting, and as Mathew told in his interview that credit cards were pulled out
of peoples pocket to get this movie done. Mathew personally done lot more than
just investing money and time in this movie he lost 47 pounds (21 kg) for
the role, going from 183 pounds (83 kg) to 136 pounds (62 kg). He reportedly stayed indoors in his
Texas mansion for six months to become paler and ceased socializing and had to
find new ways to entertain himself, which made him "smarter". When he
reached as low as 143 lbs, his eyesight began to fail. He began to
feel extremely weak to the point that he'd be sore from doing five push-ups and
his legs would lock up after running 30 feet Jared
Leto lost over 30 pounds (14 kg) for the role and confessed to
having stopped eating to lose weight quicker; his lowest record weight was 114
pounds (52 kg) which was so much more for just getting one movie
done and he literally took leap of faith and believed in that script and movie
and today his leap of faith landed him his first Oscar of best actor. Not only
he gained lot from this leap of faith but also every one attached to this movie
got more than they thought of. That movie got 6 Oscar nominations including Mathew’s
as best actor and won three Oscars not only this As of March 5, 2014, Dallas
Buyers Club has grossed $25,508,950 in North America and
$6,000,000 in foreign countries, for a worldwide gross of $31,508,950.
The same film which no one wanted to make and people rejected it for almost 20
years and people associated with this film took very big leap of faith in
believing in this film, and today they got what they deserved. So by taking
inspiration from this we may all take leap of faith and get what we deserve
Take a moment and read..... “What is Love?” isn't this the only question haunting us (humans) from thousands of years. Making us wonder, worry and puzzled about this question. Many Historians, poets, philosophers, writers, artists have spent their lifetime in order to find the right answer to this question, but do they have succeeded in answering this question and is there truly an answer for this question. What is it exactly that we call love which have a great powerful control over us to make us feel most happy to miserable within fraction of second’s. Is there really a definition of love out there which will fit to everyone who says he or she’s been in love or is in love regardless of their ethnicity, religion and where these people in love geographically located are or age group they belonged in. What is this word made of four letter really mean to us. Who comes to our minds when we are faced with this question? Is it a girl next door, or person you dating or married or...
